In 2016, Beachy Media was signed as the lead consulting firm to devise and implement a social media influencer event to promote both the Runner’s World Half & Festival and its sponsors, specifically title sponsor Altra Footwear.
Our team organized a Facebook Live event with the founder of Altra and seeded running shoes to the influencers. Concurrently, we developed an Olympics-themed social media contest to encourage influencers to post engaging content before, during, and after the event.
Located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the Runner’s World Half & Festival is a weekend-long celebration of running including a kid’s race, dog run, trail run, 5k, 10k, half marathon as well as seminars featuring game changers in the running community. The race courses feature Bethlehem’s historic neighborhoods including some of the town’s original 1741 settlement, Moravian College, and the former Bethlehem Steel complex – where the backbone of the nation was literally forged.
